In Manila, they will be split into two groups; one will fly to Los Angeles and then to New York, the other directly to New York.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095752_result.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6561\" src=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095752_result-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095752_result-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095752_result.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>It was a bitter-sweet moment for the refugees &#8211; who on the one hand, are happy to be gaining the freedom that Australia denied them more than four years ago; but on the other, they remain extremely concerned for those that are being left behind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095829_result.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6559\" src=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095829_result-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095829_result-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/refugeeaction.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_20180123_095829_result.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/a>One refugee told the Refugee Action Coalition, &#8220;I am very happy to be free of the hell that the Australian government made for us on Manus. But we are sad for those who are still waiting so long. We can&#8217;t stop thinking of everyone who are still on Manus.
