A 52 year-old Rohingyan refugee has died on Manus Island.<\/p>\n
Reports indicate that the refugee was killed after he jumped from a moving bus and was struck by its wheels of the bus, around 11am very near to West Haus refugee compound.<\/p>\n
Most refugees on Manus believe that the man\u2019s death was suicide.<\/p>\n
The Rohingyan refugee had suffered for a long time with a medical problem, for which had previously been medivacced to Australia for treatment. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis refugee\u2019s death is one more reason to evacuate Manus Island and bring all refugees and asylum seekers to Australia,\u201d said Ian Rintoul, spokesperson for the Refugee Action Coalition<\/p>\n
\u201cHe should never have been on Manus Island. He should not have been sent there in 2013. He should not have been returned there after he was brought to Australia for medical treatment in 2014.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeter Dutton is responsible for yet another death in offshore detention.\u201d <\/p>\n
This death brings the total deaths on Manus Island to seven. Another four have died on Nauru.<\/p>\n
