An emergency protest has been called at the Air China Sydney office at 1:30pm, (20 February), Air China Sydney Office, 25/123 Pitt Street Sydney (near Wynyard Station).
Wei Lin, the Chinese asylum seeker whose deportation was stopped in December last year, when passengers on the Air China Flight refused to fly until Wei was taken off the plane, is again being removed by the government.
The Refugee Action Coalition is concerned that the Chinese government may have an even greater interest in Wei given the passengers’ action on the Air China flight last December.
The Refugee Action Coalition is calling on the government to halt the deportation and for Air China to refuse to carry asylum seekers being forcibly returned to China.

Remember Reza Barati: Close Manus Island and Nauru
A protest vigil will be held this afternoon (Friday, 20 February) at 5.00pm at Sydney Town Hall to mark the anniversary of the brutal killing of Iranian asylum seeker, Reza Barati on Manus Island.
Speakers will include a relative of Reza’s family, other Iranian refugees, The Greens and the Refugee Action Coalition.
